When Jake and Max were home they had dinner. The next day they went to the shore and Nick was not there. But an hour later Nick was there Jake asked Nick what took him so long. When they got home Max and Jake told their moms about their adventures. Their moms thought it sounded like fun. They asked if Nick could take them on an adventure. One day Jake and Max went to the beach and asked Nick if they could ride on his back and go to France. He said yes that they could. When they got there they went to the bottom of the ocean. When they got there they saw some toxic waste so they went to the police to get help. Then they came and took it out of the ocean and found the people who did it and put them in jail. There they found their family and decided to take another trip. They went up to the Bering Sea. This trip took 30 days. They got off Nick's back and started to run to people yelling Stop you could hurt our friend Nick the whale. Some people started to listen but others just kept dumping trash in the ocean. One evening Nick was swimming far out in the ocean. He heard a pitiful whine and followed the noise. When he got there he saw a young blue whale and a dolphin circling a houseboat. They told Nick that the noise was a dog. Daisy the Dolphin and Rosie the Whale introduced themselves and then the dog, Scruff, told them all that some pirates had taken his master away and he was stranded. The three sea pals made a plan to carry Scruff to land and Nick was the first piggy-backer. Off the new friends went laughing in the moonlight... The next morning they reached land, the St. Lawrence Sea Way in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They had traveled very far. There was a young boy on the shores. He was crying. When they approached, the boy looked scared. They asked him why he was so sad. "I have leukemia", he replied. They asked the boy what his name was..."Thomas", he replied. "Thomas, hop on my back and come for a ride!" Thomas hopped on. He never felt better in his whole life. After Max and Jake ended their visit to Alaska they bought pizza for lunch. They met Nick the Whale at the port who zoomed to China. The ride went so quickly they didn't have time to eat their big pizza and shared it with their new friend Xioaxia. Submitted by: Ray JCDS Cambridge MA. USA
They got back from the trip and a couple of days later Nick got trapped again. But... luckily the boys and some friends helped him once again. "It is fun being heroes," said Max.
"It is not all about being heroes. It's about helping others," said Jake.
